Grant Day 4: A Plan for Breakout

We conspired with Grant to break out. We agreed that we would lull the Bezoar to sleep and that when it wasn’t looking we would just walk out of the hospital leaving the Bezoar to its own devices, whatever those may be.

Grant’s part was to sleep. The Bezoar shrank some today, while Grant slept and ate. He started with lots of pedialyte and then with the approval of the doctor switched to mother’s milk—that liquid gold. He’s a voracious eater. His stomach, indicated by the books as initially the size of a marble, now must be the size of a grapefruit. I think that as our hopes for the end of the Bezoar rise, his stomach size enlarges proportionally.

The evening ended with visits from the grandparents, and indications that this might be his last night at the hospital. Stay tuned.

You are an excellent blogger. Witty insights, nonsensical vocabulary and LOTS of pictures of the cute baby. Good work! I'm glad to hear that Grant is doing well and that the bezoar is shrinking like the Wicked Witch of the West, doused by a bucket of pedialyte.

I'm sure Grant does have inspiring hair - Kelly's smartly coifed hair notwithstanding, floof is part of his birthright :0) Hope you're all doing well!

Hooray for the prospect of liberation from the hospital! I know you will be so excited to be outta there and free to start beginning a more normal life as a family.

I too am really enjoying reading your blog; thanks for keeping us posted on Grant's status.
